Internazionale weekly magazine illustrations
Illustrations for an article about microchips for the weekly magazine Internazionale
Working with Internazionale, a magazine I have been collaborating continuously for about ten years now, always gives me the opportunity to illustrate interesting articles by authors from all over the world.
This time I was asked to illustrate an article by the British writer and journalist John Lanchester on the history of the microchip and its impact on contemporary history from different points of view.
Sometimes, when I have to create a new illustration and I have enough time before the deadline I like to look for inspiration among my books. In this case the ideas came to me by looking at old annuals with graphics from the 80s and from the world of vintage computers and video games.
